The Glenshiel Fair returns to Westcliff this October
Five days of artisanal shopping, good food and community in the historic House and gardens of Glenshiel Estate
Johannesburg – One of Johannesburg’s much-loved annual events returns to Westcliff this spring, as the Glenshiel Fair opens the gates of Glenshiel Estate from Wednesday, 28 October to Sunday, 1 November 2026.
Set throughout the historic House, marquees and gardens, the Fair brings together a carefully curated collection of independent designers, makers and producers from South Africa and further afield. Visitors can browse fashion, jewellery, homeware, beauty, textiles and gourmet food, with familiar favourites alongside new names to discover.
But Glenshiel is as much about the day out as it is about the shopping. Visitors can make their way through the House and gardens, stop for lunch, meet friends for a drink and enjoy the surroundings of the Sir Herbert Baker-designed estate.
And behind it all is an important purpose.
The Glenshiel Fair is held in aid of St John South Africa, which has served communities across the country since 1883. Preview Evening opens the Fair
The Fair begins with Preview Evening on Wednesday, 28 October from 17h00 to 21h00, giving guests the first opportunity to browse this year’s stalls and experience Glenshiel after hours.
This year, Settebello brings the spirit of an Italian piazza to the evening, with generous harvest tables, roaming bites and live cooking throughout the night. Appellation Wines will join them with boutique wines and bubbles from Zevenwacht and Thistle & Weed.
Preview Evening tickets are R450, or R500 including one additional day at the Fair.
Shop for Good
The idea of Shop for Good sits at the heart of the Glenshiel Fair.
Proceeds help St John South Africa continue providing practical healthcare services to communities across the country. In 2025, the organisation carried out around 10,000 eye examinations, dispensed more than 6,000 pairs of spectacles and trained 6,000 people in first aid. Glenshiel-Fair-2026-Media-Relea…
For visitors, it means that a day spent shopping, eating and enjoying Glenshiel also contributes to something much bigger.
